Upgrading and enlarging the Arad Reservoir in the southern Hebron Hills in the beautiful Yatir area. The Arad Reservoir, with a capacity of about 800,000 cubic meters, was upgraded for the Jewish National Fund. The original reservoir, about 35 years old, lacked modern drainage technology and had planned slopes. It has been updated, deepened, its slopes reinforced, and new drains and filters added to maintain the stability of the embankments. Modern waterproofing was carried out, and a new pump room was built, including a new overflow and inlet pipe. It is now ready for many more years of operation.
